Lightyear League Seniors
Girls & Boys
Ages 12-18
Description: Similar to the Lightyear League Juniors program, Seniors play recreationally against other clubs in the Jack London Youth Soccer League throughout the Bay Area (El Cerrito, Berkeley, Alameda, Oakland). At this level, teams play full-field 11v11, and positioning and movement on and off the ball become very important. We continue to focus on strategic thinking, skill development, teamwork, and growth mindset.
Details:
- Fall season runs from end of August to early November
- Teams practice two days a week, for 1.5-hours each session (typically @5:30pm)
- Teams play one game on the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday
- Game format: 11v11, including a goalkeeper
- U13 = two 35-minute halves
- U14-U16 = two 40-minute halves
- U17-U19 = two 45-minute halves
- Locations: Local Emeryville or North/West Oakland fields for practice, plus we are looking to collaborate with Emery Unified School District to use Emeryville Center of Community Life turf. Games are played across the Bay Area.
